So far I've browsed youtube, watched a film, listened to my favourite music and now writing this message all without having to leave my bedroom :)
Anyone else got one of these beauties?

He means including the contract which at 18 months at £35 a month comes to 899 in total.

But it can' make a phone call...
I can do all that without leaving my bedroom anyway on my PC, which also plays full 3D games and has a whopping 128MB AGP graphics card!

I see.
I find it amusing that people only started doing that when Apple released the iPhone and they neglect to mention that every tariff it's available on includes unlimited data.

Yeah stating the total investment required to get an iPhone, utter madness. Just what are people thinking?
You got the power?
Yeah!
Sorry. I'll go back to bed now...

But no-one did it until the iPhone came along and, as I said, people never mention the unlimited data which is worth a hell of a lot of money.
Granted that insisting on an 18 month contract is a bind but handsets from other companies are heavily subsidised hence a lot of them being free with new or renewed contracts.
Anyway, I don't want this to descend into a back-and-forth argument ... unless you do? ;^)
It's handy having the Internet and other features available to you on the move, granted, especially on something smaller and cheaper to surf with than a laptop, but as far as I'm concerned, no need as I'm not a businessman, and have a laptop for Internet, email etc for holidays! The only use I can think of for phone browsers is cheating on pub quizzes, well, only time I've known of people using them.
I no longer use my pocket PC, so a phone and MP3/Video device are all I usually need. And, in some circumstances, my camera.
As far as presents go, I'm thrilled =D

After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner!
You got the moves, you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat
You're nobody's fool!
