Out of interest, how many people on the forums have done the Reading festival before? I haven't myself, so I'd really like to know what sort of stuff to take as 'survival' gear - what does it make sense to bring with you?

perhaps, but id personally prefer it if they werent there. Be much better if queens of the stone age are there again. Now they rule. new album out soon. songs for the deaf. thrills.

You'll find they probably will be, since they're re-releasing 'God save the Queen' later this year to tie in with the jubilee. They'll do Reading for the extra publicity. Probably.

Come on gameaday, this definately deserves to win a game.

*News just in*

Linkin Park, Prodigy and Offspring are confirmed headliners.

Daphne and Celeste have been approached and have turned down the opportunity to perform at Reading this year.

Tickets should be available within 3-4 weeks.

I camped last year at Reading. Don't think I'll bother this year though. May go for the day.

Not to many decent bands playing. Muse rule though, Prodigy would kick bottom and Deftones are amazing.

Linkin Park, Offspring and Prodigiy are headliners, or rumoured headliners!

Any idea how much it costs?

It's £85 a ticket, but you'll want to get some stuff while you're there - try a total of around £150, including food and a train ticket.

And Marilyn Manson sucks, Mr Mattyboy. His absence will be praised by all with real taste.
