Yes Nin, it is a C. You need the background mp3 playing for that level. On my computer it doesn't play [in my browser], but the URL for it is obvious from the source.

Yeah once i got the letter and saw the clue i figured it had to had a word from that range.
As for 7, type into google Vegetables code and 1 of the numbers. You'll find it eventually. I've not quite done 7 but i'm on the right path.
