I have a friend trying to decide which game to go for... Tricky or THPS3.

He has THPS2, but not SSX.

Which one does he get?

If you can, keep it to one post each, with a vote "Go for ***" and then a reason.

Thanks muchly, he appreciates it.

i got tony hawks 3 today, my mum ordered it from somewhere else online, if it was my choice it would have been sr, but anyway shame its for xmas..although i got a free WRC demo with it, and the handling seems to have been touched up slightly, the demo has different tracks to the one included in OPSM2's demo, also the car in the new demo i have is the evolution one, mistubishi i think.

i've preordered thps3 first only cos it was cheaper than ssx tricky...
i'm gonna get both though...
if i had to get one first though it would (in his situation) be ssx tricky....
ssx was SOOOOO GOOD (still is actually) and tricky will rock!!
get thps3 when you get enough money

Very true. :-) However, my opinion doesn`t count with him, because he knows I have a bias towards SSX.... so I set this up for a vote.

However, the votes are fairly even, and there aren`t any reasons below that are convincing, so basically they are evenly matched games. As a result, I`m going to recommend he buys Jak and Daxter.

SSX Tricky is same as SSX but with edited courses and some Xtras, THPS3 looks so much better than THPS2, and is so more interactive, and has online play. im getting both, THPS3 on Friday and SSX Tricky ill prob get my brother for christmas

I think you should get SSX Tricky instaed of Tony Hawks Pro Skater three because once you've played one Tony Hawks you've played them all but with other games they are all different sequals

Go for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 first, THEN get Tricky later. Simple!

SSX Tricky.

Why? Because I got SSX for launch last year (24th November '00) and I'm still playing it now. Apparrently the sequel is better, so I'm choosing it for my GAD win (!).

THPS3 has got online, but I'd just wait until next year when it's released.

You friend cud just buy both (or write a kick a** GAD review/post).
