So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.
Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.
Pretty straight forward really.
Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.
> This game sounds life consuming.
It is. Which is worrying, but it's so god damn addicitve.
Must....resist......playing.....
I was just innocently asking questions around in Vivec, when one bloke called me "Sweetie Pie" and "Muffin" on numerous occasions. Except he was wearing beefy armour and looked quite mean.
I decided to kill him for being camp, not that there is anything wrong with camp people, but he came onto me. That rules for a death sentence!
When you go work for him, before he gives you any missions, he first asks you to take off your clothes lol.

It really is worth getting and, in my opinion, by far the best game available for Xbox. There's so much scope for your character; it isn't like other RPGs - you can choose what you want to be by training certain skills. Wizard, Warrior, Crusader, Thief, Chemist - it's all there, and there's so much freedom that you can do practically whatever you want. Every action has an affect on the world around you, too.
The game world is massive - if you've got a fast character, and are carrying few belongings, you could get from one side to the other in about two hours (real time), providing you don't have any run-ins with any of the creatures that inhabit the gameworld (very unlikely). The game's full of people with their own problems, living their own lives plus wildlife and areas of deep wilderness - not to mention a volcanic mountain. It's a living breathing world in which you're free to do as you will.
Alright, so I grudgingly accept this and return to the guild. I enquire about the guild dues to the lady that gave me the mission, but there's no option to pay them myself. She just tells me the mission again. I really can't be bothered to go all the way back, so can anyone tell me an easy way out of this pickle?

Sadrith Mora, near the slave trader. Follow the path that leads off in that direction, and you'll come to a bridge which leads off to the Telvanni council houses. Go to the central chamber and have a chat with them...

Assuming you are on XBox, there is no way you can get past this quest without further interaction with the lady who owes the dues - you missed a journal update. You'll have to go back and kill her, or talk to her more, or something.
Alternatively, if all you're worried about is progression in the mages guild, you may be okay. There are more missions available for each faction than you actually need to complete to reach the top rank, so you may be able to get away with just leaving this one out altogether. I suggest you visit the mages guilds elsewhere (sadrith mora and Ald-ruhn), and work on those missions instead. Once you've done all those, you'll either
a) Find out you don't need to go back
b) Be hard enough that it's no trouble anyway.
There are two tips I can give you to save a lot of trekking back and forth on missions like this.
Firstly, cast mark when you're given the mission. Use recall when you're done. That way you're only travelling one way - much faster.
Secondly, outside the temnple of Vivec there is the 'shrine to stop the moon'. If you make a pilgrimage there whilst you have a levitation potions (not home made) in your inventory, you'll get 100pts of levitation for an entire day. This is much faster than your top running speed, and also doesn't require that you follow paths - you can get anywhere on the map in a couple of mins.
Use these two, and travelling about in Morrowind is really no hassle at all...
