But they did that on Super Circuit.
MK64 was good, but I felt the over-reliance on doing speed boosts round every corner got a bit of a pain in the end, and meant younger players found it a little tricky to get the maximum corner speed.
It was great fun, but the original still rules.
It just seems more 'right', to me...
The trouble with Mario Kart 64 is that many people still play it while waiting for the arrival of Double Dash!!, and I bet the majority of those people - like myself - would rather see something 'different', for a change, rather than a game they've already played-to-death, quite recently.
Super Mario Kart was the one that started it all.
It only seems right it should be included with what looks set to be the greatest Mario Kart game for a long-time-coming.
And if you can get the original Metroid game with 'Prime, and not Super Metroid, why should it be any different here?
Super Mario Kart: 9.0, 9.0, 8.0, 8.0 (85.0%)
Mario Kart 64: 9.5, 9.5, 9.0, 9.0 (92.5%)
Mario Kart DD: 10, 10, 10, 9.5 (98.3%)
Bodes well eh.
I liked some of the plane courses, and the big open areas. Twas fun.
The N64 was one of the best ever, just people never realised it.
I've just realised...this is tragic!
*nods sagely*
Or not. I'd be happy for sure.
