Yes, one person per Kart would make the connection faster, but I guess if you've got s a high connection (broadband), it should still run smoothly. Only time will tell.

so i wasn't all wrong. i would think it will be been easier to have one person per kart over the net.

Yeah. Remember two players can be in one Kart so it would be 8 Karts, 16 players on one track.

According to NOM (Laugh all you want), it said upto 16 players could play on a LAN connection. So would it be rather 16 players playing online instead of 8?

I've got a feeling Nintendo will support, or at least allow this project.

It will, after all, optimise the GameCube for online capability while Nintendo can watch the effects from the sidelines and see whether it is a prosperous part of the market. In a nutshell, it gives their console what the gamers want with minimum risk to them.

Why wouldn't they support it?

Can't believe Ninty didn't build in online play themselves, imaging MKDD and a BB Adaptor for say £50, it would sell by the bucket load.
