3D adds the unnecessary complication of having to control the camera. 2D's better. For RTS's anyway.
I personally dont like the new outlook of Command and Conquer generals. I prefer the old styles and I think the new graphics are pretty poor and just plain weird.

This is what many people disliked about AoM. The 3D part of it, as well as being damn unfair to those who don't know how to use it, it made games lag alot, i couldn't even play it alone, nevermind with 7 other people.

3D ruined Railroad Tycoon 3: The 2D Railroad Tycoon 2 was great, and the flat, quirky Railroad Tycoon was perfectomundialdo.

Latest issue of PC Gamer gives a small tidbit of information on AoE 3. Basically, it says along the lines of -
Microsoft are saying very little at this stage, but PCG apparently know the game is in development, and expect a showing at this year's E3, with a Christmas release on the cards.

Longbow Men! They were so class! :D Um, I'd like to see a higher population limit since I'd usually have loads of villagers so I could gather resources quickly but then I wouldn't to be able to make a bigger army but I think that's about it, the game was perfect apart from that.
