Tomorrow, I can get hold of Counterstrike for Xbox for less than £20.

I need to know if it is good first though.

So, what is it like?
What's the single player like?
What's the Live play like?

I want honest opinions - no, "Best game evah!" crap.

I still haven't tried the Live play yet - am hooked on Rainbow Six 3 at the moment.

I agree, there is no structure in single player.

It really is online-only focussed. It is far more enjoyable on Live though..

It isn't the bots that are crap - it's the entire single player game. Too sterile, a complete lack of non-linearity in the game, and as everything is already unlocked, there feels like no point in playing the single player mode at all.

I am yet to try it on Live though.

Except in one case where (on the Miami map) there was two bots trying to fit in an air vent while constantly switching their weapons!

They then got killed.

Yep, although the bots on expert are pretty clever. Better than most people I've played!
