Thought maybe we could use a topic to see who has the game and maybe arrange some games online. Usually find its better to play against people you kind of know rather than complete strangers.

My name online is Ali

So who is online with Socom 2?
Whats your name online?

Probably will be online later if anyone else is up for it?

I love socom 2 - but i have to say that a couple of the maps, although brilliant, are a bit biased / boring in the game they play...

Shadow Falls - Too many draws. Massive dark map played as 'supression'. The problem is if 1 person decides to go prone behind a tree root somewhere, chances are he'll never be spotted. I played this map for well over an hour with repeated draws. Got annoying despite being a really nice map. Would have been excellent if it had been an escort or plant the bomb map I think.

The Mixer - Biased towards the Seals. They just have to hide 1 VIP from the terrs to win. There are plenty of places to do this - pipes / dark corners etc. This would have been a great 'supression' map (eliminate all opposition).

Having said that - the game is still amazing. I love the new dark rat's nest and abandoned. I love the new weapons too.

I don't like the health bar thing - i thought they had the kill thing pretty much perfect in the first 1.

Ummmmm. BUY IT! It's great :D For 30 - 40 quid, I don't think you can get more fun.

It's a potential buy today. Now tell me - is the new headset worth the investment or will the original one suffice?

Keep the old one, its not worth paying an extra 7 quid to get a haedset that just annoys you all the time. The new one has a mute button and its so delicate that lots of people accidently press it and mute thereselves without knowing.

Aye, didn't think there would be much difference. Do you still have to hold down Circle to talk though?

Ta for that. I'll see how much I have after buying FF:CC. I'm taking three games in and have £40 already. I might buy it, but I don't want to spend too much, considering I will probably hardly play it (Xbox CS, PGR2 and Top Spin now take most of my time up).

Tell him you have another buyer but you're holding on for his decision.
