"Is Doom the greatest?"

On Gamespy Arcade, they had a countdown of the Top 50 games of all time. At No.1 was Doom. Do you think Doom is the greatest of all time?

I was surprised that Championship Manager did not make the top ten.

I know that these sort of things should not be taken seriously, but what is your greatest game of all time, any console, computer, anything.

Mine is Championship Manager Series.

I have the demo, Resident Evil 2 isnt currently around on the PSone and I'm waiting to see if the dualshock edition is released here with the arrange mode and extra battle mode but if it's not the only to get it is on the PC version.

They've re-released the first one too for PC if you interested.

Resident evil 2 on pc is pure class. Do you have it resevilfan?

your joking? well the list was all old PC games anyway, but res should definatly be up there.

In my view Doom was probaly the best in its day. Now its just a pile of old rusty worthless junk. Still fun with the chainsaw. :-D

i never checked where was Resident Evil?

Goldeneye is my favourite. Zelda is good. Doom is however a landmark game. It was what started the fps genre in popularity stakes. It would not be my number 1 but it is a worthy game.
