This is where I talk (to myself) about the new F1 season. The ultra long, ultra boring preview of the season written by my good self will be up around a week or 2 before the new season starts.

New season, new cars. Launches and pictures below:

New Virgin racer has been launched. It has been fully designed using computational fluid dynamics. Sounds funky.

The new Force India car has been launched. If they can make a small step, they could be consistent midfield runners.

The new Red Bull has been launched. They had the best car at the end of last season so a small step should keep them up the front. Hopefully, they won't have the engine problems of last season.

McLaren producing the crazy aerodynamic test devices. If it works, good on them.

Lotus are the 11th team to have launched their car. It might just be me but it seems to have a bigger gap in the middle of the front wing compared to the others.

Only 2 teams left to launch a car - Campos and USF1. If Ecclestone is to be believed, possibly neither of them will release a car and Stefen GP waiting in the wings.

What sort of a name is Stefan GP? I know the history, but I mean it's not something majestic sounding or anything that would strike fear into the enemy is it?!

I'll enter a team next year and I'll call them.... Tracy Racing.

It'll be sponsored by Tony and Guy Hair Stylists and my drivers will be Wayne and Brian.

The owner is Zoran Stefanovic so it named after him. I didn't like the name Brawn GP but they have to call it something. Just a shame there is no imagination anymore.

I see Silverstone has now been given the green light to add two extra straights and make the track a bit faster while giving a few more over-taking points.

Sounds good, though not sure how they can afford another 5 million on top of the fees to get it up to speed for this year.

Probably investors or something like that.

The track, instead of going left then right through Abbey and into Bridge corner, will go right at Abbey and head back toward Becketts and then turn back towards the stadium section after Bridge corner.

Campos looks like it has been saved and will probably be renamed.

USF1 could miss 4 races and have contacted the FIA to see if they will still be allowed to enter. That could open the door for Stefan GP to take their spot.

Campos is no more! It has been renamed Hispania.

USF1 is done. No more work on the 2010 car, a request for entry in 2011 and a driver looking to leave.

That leaves Stefan GP with a possible spot. It does also mean that Hispania and Stefan GP (if they are allowed in) will not have tested their car at all before Bahrain. If I were a driver for those teams, I'd be a little nervous as chances are they will have some pretty public failures.
