"DailyRadar.co.uk is no more?"

Sorry if this has been mentioned...

I know it took a lot of flak, but I've just noticed that DailyRadar.co.uk seems to have gone the same way as its US site.

I didn't go there frequently (about once a week), and when I visited the site last week, it was still there.

Go there now, though, and you just get redirected to the Future Publishing site.

I liked it too. Shame. Real shame.

Ah. Oops.

Well, it looked the same from what I could see, but as I said earlier, it crashes my IE when I go to the main page, so I haven't looked too deep into the site.

It's not the same site at all - they have dumped most of the staff. All the section editors have gone, other than Jes Bickham - also dropping the Showbiz section alltogether, and ridding the threat of me ever getting anymore work with them. The overall site editors have also been halved (Andy "Future Gamer" Smith getting the boot) and all the staff writers have been sacked. Regular freelancers have been told to take a hike so basically Games Radar now just recycles a little content from other Future publications.

Is is - or was - a games website run by Future Publishing.

Apart from a name change, it's the same site.

They published that really good videogame magazine VideoGamer, that only cost 99p...but only lasted 2 issues.

I was sad when the magazine went, I cant afford Playstation or Nintendo magazines anymore.

Maybe the sites gone, but the magazine will return that would make me happy :-)
