Bloody hell Sven, why do we have makeshift defensive midfielder Alan Smith in there instead of Scott Parker? Christ, that really, really irritates me. Seriously, what more can he do? He is vastly more talented in that position that Smith could ever hope to be.

No, his role isn't catered for in that system, you're right. I saw a predicted formation, I think it was on Eurosport, of:
Zanetti..Ayala..Samuel..Sorin
.........Demichelis..........
Maxi.....Riquelme...Cambiasso
....Saviola....Crespo........
Beckham would fit into Maxi's slot there. I did think it a strange formation for them to use though, as they usually play with wing backs and three centrebacks, as you say.
EDIT: Oh, and Beckham works fine alongside Zidane, Baptista, Guti etc., so why not Riquelme/Aimar?

Works fine? Real's lack of a trophy since Beckham joined tells a different story!

Same here! Although i wish they would stop pressurising these kids with the "next maradona" tag.
> Beckham's crap. There's my two cents.
Hit the nail on the head there. Let him have his 50th game as captain and then give the band to Terry I say.

There's no way you can prove there's a connection between either of those events.
Beckham has been unanimously considered Real's best player this season.
Was just a little bit wound up.
> Crouch will score.
That last goal came off his elbow.
