Gudjohnsen wasn't in front of the keeper, he was away to the left.

If you're standing in front of the keeper, you're always going to put him off.

The ball was passed straight to Drogba (who wasn't offside) and if Drogba had then passed the ball to Gudjonsen (who was offside) the goal wouldn't have counted so the keeper knew he only had to concentrate on stopping Drogba scoring, therefore Gudjonen's presence wasn't important to the keeper.

Ah, I dunno, these rules are frustratingly vague.

You could say that because Gudjonsen was in the position he was he was distracting the keeper and defence, therefore interfering with play, therefore offside.

Gudjonsen was well past the last defender but he wasn't an active player in the goal, therefore it can be argued that the goal should have been valid.

Everyone's banging on that Drogba wasn't offside, but I think Gudjonsen was past the last man in the box, which is probably why the goal was disallowed.

Moyes seems to think not only was he offside but Everton should have had a second penalty.
