I was this whilst it was still believed to be official, and thought that it didn't really say much. When I heard it was a fake it all made sense, it doesn't say much, because the person who made it doesn't know much about the story himself.

Exactly. Chris Reeve nailed him. When he was a geek, he looked and acted like a bumbling geek. When he was superman, he fitted the role perfectly.
This guy looks like a OC superman. The film should be renamed "superAngstyTeenYoungAdultMan"
Much as I don't like superman (too wholesome, Constantine is the boyo for me) this film looks like it's going to suck.
