Except Sony are being stubborn in that regard and have already spent a ridiculous amount of money on R&D for the PS3.

It's going to be interesting but I still reckon that the company that can throw the most money at everything will come out on top eventually.

On the other hand though, they have the time to see what the 360 is really capable of, what problems there are with it and what can be improved on their own system to make it 'better'.

Still, I'm backing the 360 ftw.

I can't see how the PS3 won't struggle this time.

As Hedfix said, its likely that both will make a comfortable profit and could be considered winners, but in terms of which console manufacturer makes the most profit, it'd be hard not to back the PS3 at this stage.
