When I studied the collapse of the Soviet Union I saw that everyone was given a money cheque when they sold off the industries. However, they all became worth nothing as everyone had one in the end. Then a few people bought everyone really cheap and made a fortune. It seems things haven't improved at all, a vote doesn't feed your family etc.

Most schools in Britain study the Russian Revolution. I'm at University and I have studied modern Russia too.
