Those cheeky little gimps.

So this is the new tagline of the PSP?
'Revolution what now? Isn't that sony?'

Mind you, it's hardly a surprise, this is the company that shafted everyone with E3 Tekken 'demos' that basically lied about the PS2's capabilities.

Ah well, ninty finally get their ass in gear with a bit of advertising, then sony hand them that very same ass, by showing them how cheap media manipulation should be done.

I foresee ninty getting shafted again. Nice guys finish last, and nice guys who are incapable of presenting themselves in a positive light, while nasty guys kick them in the nuts, don't even make it as far as the finish.

Shigsy is a devil-worshipping cult unto himself. Although upon hearing this, the devil quit his day job, joined up, and promoted Shig to underlord no. 1 free of charge.

Nice guys finish last? Nintendo are far from the nice guys. Just cause the games are cute and cuddly does not mean these company is a nice one.

They shafted the world during the SNES era and recently they've sold RARE despite the company not wanting to go, they over-charge third parties to develop games on their systems and they are a cunning, ruthless bussiness.

This will be the PSP's christmas (GBA micro may do well, it does look cool) but over the course of the console life span anything can happen. Nintendo could easily unleash another Pokemon with these new control method and the PSP wouldn't get a look in.

The DS is destroying the PSP in Japan and I cannot see it changing. It'll be a closer race in the west, but if the two are neck and neck by the time the GBA 2 is released then Nintendo will be very happy.

Indeed not. They do Japan very well, as all the recent DS shizzle shows all too well. But gentle brain exercises don't sell outside of there.

And all the top noggins are getting on a bit now. They need some new talent in before every dies.

Videogames is a cut-throat industry. The fact Nintendo have survived so long in it (remember they started long long before Sony or MS) points to them being equally as cut-throat. Although they don't seem to 'get' Western marketing very well...

Ah yes, their 'exclusivity' agreements that pretty much left the Sega Master System with no games in the USA. Thankfully it didn't apply over here. Damn I loved my Master System.

Nintendo aren't that nice.

They had to grow-up pretty quickly in America and have been playing hardball ever-since.

Read the book 'Game Over' for a more detailed history of Nintendo's iron-clad grip on gaming during the late 80s and early 90s.

Odd thing to say about the PSP, calling it Revolutionary, because, essentially, it's not at all. It's like a modern version of the Gameboy, or the Gameboy Advance, or the Game Gear, or the Wonderswan, or the Neo Geo Pocket. Regular handheld machine.

The thing is, for all the weirdness that Nintendo seem to come up with in games, what they did with the Nintendo DS is really working in Japan, and they are a Japanese company. When they say 'people are getting bored with the way games are' we think they're being crazy, but it's what's being seen in Japan. The DS success is proving them right, and I imagine the 'Revolution' will also be something the Japanese people want, on the whole.

Whether that means it will be a success in a very different Western market remains to be seen, but it's NoJ that make all the decisions, not NoA.

Anyway, soon enough (as in weeks) Nintendo wil reveal the true name for the Revolution,a nd we won't hear that again in regard to this next console. Nintendo will be taking about something with a different name, so there will be no confusion. Hopefully.
