Ok, basically I'm bored out of my mind and intend on purchasing a load of music. See below for a list of bands whose albums I wish to buy in the near future, and use them to recommend me some new music to listen to :]

Bloc Party

The Bravery

Kaiser Chiefs

Babyshambles

Others

Possibly the Prodigy's latest album, but I'm not sure. Love the track Girls, but is the rest of the album comparable? In saying this I like their older style as well so if it's anything like that I'm sold as well.

Thanks.

[edit] Forgot about The Doves, although I've not really heard much of them yet except for their current single. Album probably isn't out for ages knowing me, but has anyone else heard any of it yet?

OK; I am not telling that they are a good band, but at-least they have some decent songs in their album.

But if it is decent Rock bands that you ask; I'll reccomend U2 & Linkin Park

[I]Now I guess you'll start commenting on U2 & Linkin Park

I always think of Matt Bellamy when I listen to the Rasmus' frontman sing, due to the very high notes.

The difference being of course that Matt Bellamy isn't crap.

It annoys me to think that people ACTUALLY THINK The Rasmus are a decent band.

I mean, I may not be the biggest fan of bands like Mars Volta, Smashing Pumpkins and such, but I can understand that they DO mean something.

I know the Rasmus aren't that popular (they are not on winamp's site...); but still In the shadows and Still Standing are one of my personal faves.

P.S. - The video of In the shadows is pretty haunting...

No one should ever joke about the Rasmus being good. Unless they wish to burn on a cross and have their eyesockets molested.
