I'd love to see a Metroid film based on the lands in Prime 1 and 2. That would be pretty sweet.

Any other ideas, thoughts?

If Nintendo gets this right they could be sitting on a gold mine! or we could just end up with another lame Mario movie!

Three things:

Firstly, CGI. Easy.

Secondly: There was a Zelda cartoon, so Link has spoken before.

and finally, dungeons are not a problem- most of the time is spent exploring anyway, and they could implement a Navi-style character etc.

Erm, I think that pretty much nullifies your argument there, JFH.

Nintendo making movies would just suck

1. Because their games are good already
2. Once the movies were made, we'd have movie cash-in games to compensate
3. They put their creative work into gaming, not movie making

And I think you're right. Though I'm still confident that it would end up being a disappointment in some way.

I just read the news now, Pixar aren't making it, are they?
If they Pixar did have something to do with it, then, that would be great - they've never made a bad one upto date.

Or the people that make Shrek, that would be good too!

It looks like Nintendo will probably make the films itself, not a third-party.

And Pixar over Dreamworks anyday.

I think that's the news that inspired this thread, mate.

That's quite possible but I doubt whether everyone will have seen that particular article. I only just saw it and I bet I'm not the only one.
