I'd give The Office a bit more credit than "solid". I mean, it did break a few barriers - pushed itself into a new area as yet unexplored by comedy.
It's true that it's overrated when people label it the greatest sitcom ever, but it's still almost faultlessly written and acted.

Carr's great, but that big quiz of the year was terrible.
Shaun of the Dead is superb and The Office was good solid stuff.

He was also on that quiz thing on C4 (it was pretty damn entertaining surprisingly - Carr is one of my favourite comedians at the mo mind, and he was hosting. There was J. Ross, David Walliams, Rob Brydon, June Sarpong (rubbish) and Liza Tarbuck).
