I arranged a job interview with them about 3 weeks ago for last night at 6pm, i get their sign in and stuff and some fat woman comes down to take me out the back or something, we go out the back and she says "Before we going any further i'd just like to tell you that all we have left are night shifts and you have to be over 18"
I'm like, what the fork? i've just wasted my money to get hear, and to get told that!

Yeah I can understand how annoying that is. I remember about 3 years ago I was looking for a part time job while I was at college, I got an interview, then I waited downstairs (it was some restaurant). They then got us to all lift boxes and crap around until they let us know who had got a job (I had never had a part time job). So they call me in and say "Oh we are sorry but we are only employing trained staff" I was like "WHY THE HELL AM I HERE THEN YOU COMPLETE TO$$ERS!".
Yeah, supermarkets suck.
Went into Co-op for 'training'. Expecting half an hour.....so I went in at 1.

I actually got a rejection letter sent to me this morning- shame, as I thought my interview had gone quite well. The whole signing in and out idea is no great thing, either; very inconvenient.

Don't worry about it, I read somewhere that 90% of interviewers have decided who is going to get the job before the interviews even start, they're just a necessary formality so people don't feel like they've been rejected before they've even had a chance. Which they have really, but never mind.

Don't worry about it, I read somewhere that 90% of interviewers have decided who is going to get the job before the interviews even start, they're just a necessary formality so people don't feel like they've been rejected before they've even had a chance. Which they have really, but never mind.
I'm not going to let one failed interview get me down- Woolworths didn't even call me in for one, and there are still plenty of places to look for part time work at in my area anyway.
