Yeh, need a filling on one of my teeth, too many Dr Pepper's apparently, and was just wondering what the procedure was.

Will they put me entirely out, or just locally? Or not at all?

How long will it take, because I'm supposed to be seeing someone an hour after my appointment...

A local into your gum and itll take about a half hour and your mouth will feel normal again after a couple of hours.

Say what? It's a lil' filling, not gum removal. I once had 9 fillings as a kid (they look nice now though), I didn't feel a thing. Had no local either.

I don't think they "put you out" for a filling.

But if they do, it's only a small gum one and you barely feel it anyway.

Half hour?!?!

Don't they just stick some like putty stuff into the gap and let it settle?

Does the needle hurt especially in the gum?

I'm meeting someone after, as I said an hour, will the after effects of the anaesthetic affect me from talking/eating/kissing?
