Div X isn't that good. It only plays half of my movies.

Only really WMP and Div X really, the files will open to VirtualDub though.

When I was trying to play .AVI in WMP it didnt work, but I installed WMT, and that sorted it. Apparently the .AVI codec isnt installed with WMP as standard...

Where you get the file from? As if its Kazaa its probably just a blank movie. If theres no sound and video then its pretty suspicious as normally if you havent got the video codec the audio will play. If its a movie and on 2 discs ie. 2 x 700mb then the audio would be AC3 which requires a audio codec to be installed such as AC3 Filter.

Just re-read you post and you have a few files that dont play, so do the actual files play? As in can move forward in time etc? If they dont play then with DivX you can get a tool called DivFix I think its called. Basically the program fixes DivX files. Sometimes the header of the file is all screwed up which means you can't play the file at all, with DivFix it rewrites the header making the file play again.

Also what does Gspot report back with?

... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
