Magazines only ever seem to FEATURE the next generation of must-have titles as the release dates just get put further and further back. So in the meantime, developers (crappy and reputable) put out average to awful games in order to exploit us, the consumers who are desparate for games. I do concede that some games are of a good standard. But I have bought a next generation console. I dont want good, I want the best!!!
I was most hopefull for Zone of the Enders, but just turned out to be an incredibly tedious blaster so I returned it (after playing the MGS2 demo to death!)
I bought my PS2 to play games on and treated the DVD as an extra. As it stands, it is completely the other way around.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
Also, if you`re in to Football, wait for Winning Eleven Five which got an import score of 91 in PSM2. There is also Red Faction on the not too distant horizon as well. (Don`t know if that sentence quite made sense but hey!)
My PS2 has only been left alone on one occasion, and that was when I went home for the weekend. The rest of the time, the fans are whirring, the discs are spinning, and my thumbs are blazing as I play away at some of the cracking titles on PS2.
Without games the ps2 is just that switched off expensive piece of equiment in the corner.
Although I am looking forward to Gran Turismo 3,Metal Gear Solid 2,Resident Evil CVC,Silent Hill 2,Atv road fury,Final Fantasy 10,Devil may cry,Wipeout fusion,Grand Theft auto 3D,The Getaway,Alone in the Dark,Crash Bandicoot and Resident evil 4. (IF they are released on the ps2) munch's oddysee i was also looking forward to.I hate the crap box which will probably have as much bugs in as windows.
BUT the new consoles are coming soon and if the PS2 doesn't get some good games it's gona go down the toilet and i really HOPE that they bring the hard drive soon otherwise it will be just an ancient rumor like the 64 one.

Someone should do a test on this.
Quoting figures which I haven't tested, the GeForce2 MX is supposedly capable of 20 milion, GTS - 25 million, with the Ultra pushing 31 million.
Haven't seen any figures for the GeForce 3, but the 3dfx Rampage is supposedly capable of 75 Million.
Again, I'm not sure about the background processes running while these figures are taken, AI, lighting, texturing, FSAA etc.
That is 5/1/3 kilometres, which is 53.33 checks per track with about 20 tracks and 200 cars. Say about 20 million polys.
That means I have to count to 4266400000000!!

To get a true indication, I think you'l need to do it every 100m around each track. Make sure you use the same car every time though, to get an accurate scenery count.
