OK, I'm sure everyone has seen loads already, but this the first time I've thought to myself: "Damn, I want one".

I would never normally consider a handheld but the shinyness and that screen has brought out the magpie in me.

Some info from OPM2 (Official Playstation2 Magazine-Belgium) apparently, though dunoo how true it is:

Games tested on a imported PSP.

* Game: Ridge Racers
* Type: Singleplayer
* Volume: max.
* Screen Res.: max.
* Battery Life: 3h30min.

* Game: Ridge Racers
* Type: Singleplayer
* Volume: max (headphones)
* Screen Res.: max.
* Battery Life: 5h10min.

* Game: Ridge Racers
* Type: Multiplayer (WiFi)
* Volume: max (headphones)
* Screen Res.: max.
* Battery Life: 2h45min.

* Game: Vampire Chronicle
* Type: Singleplayer
* Volume: 50%
* Screen Res.: max.
* Battery Life: 5h5min.

Would be nice to have some battery info for when playing video/music though.

Also from the magazine I think:

Samsung is now the producer of the TFT screens (used to be Sharp).
This should guarantee no more dead pixels.

Samsung will also produce the new MPCs (microchips for the PSP).
These new MPC's will use up to 2.5 times less the battery power than the old MPCs.

99% of all PSPs that will be released in the US and Europe will have this new technology.

Same here. I would never normally be interested in handhelds because they are usually dull but the line up for the PSP has made me think twice.
