Yup.

Nintendo is to showcase the GBA2 at the next E3, which takes place in mid-May.

It has been revealed that Nintendo plan to show off the GBA2 at the next E3, which begins May 17th. The unit will apparently have a large high-quality back-lit screen, as well as analogue controls.

With the emergence of the GBA2 fans may be wondering, "what's the point of the DS?" Well apparently at E3 Nintendo will be showing off software that will make the DS more like a PDA.

According to Spong the new GBA2 will be based around the GameCube hardware, but that seems like a bit of a jump from the GBA. Still, more will be seen in May.

(Sorry if this has been mentioned in the similar posts down below)

Well well, I for one am a bit dissapointed with this.

EDIT: Although, the article has been taken from Spong.....hmmmm

I doubt the quality of the plastics used on the DS would act as a pillar too anything.

Ahahahahaha.

Way to dump on a customer - bring out new Ipods in lots of different colours all the time. Oh I forgot, because customers ARE STUPID enough to fall for such things.

And the GBA2 IS out in 6 months? Really? WOW, that was quick!

Third pillar system, O please.

Question: How to dump over lots of DS owners?
Answer: Bring out a newer system 6 months after launch of DS.

Going by Spong (if anyone believes them, as there is always a grain of truth in a rumour) the Next Gameboy will have the performance of a Gamecube- which is considerably better than an N64. But it's the games that count in the end.

If reports are to go by, they are a year apart

That defeats the whole purpose of Nintendo's statement being that it's a Third Pillar system! Read my post on the GBA2 on the Nintendo forum.

The DS for a start was never intended nor NEVER will be the new Gameboy, Nintendo stated that too! The DS is a third system to compliment the GBA/GBA2 and GC/Rev- Again, read my post of the same subject.

PS1 is a "low cost" console, while PS2 is a diferent generation and not so low cost.

If GBA2 were released in say a year or 2, then it would duplicate the DS in terms of performance, and price. They would both be of the same era, whereas PS1 and PS2 are not.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
