Creamfields 10 years- The album

Creamfields is an August-Bank-Holiday-Weekend-size slice of Ibiza, where dance music in all its electro glory is brought proudly home to the mud-smeared fields of Great Britain. For 10 years Creamfields has enjoyed being the hotbed of some of the biggest headliners in dance music to date, such as the likes of Basement Jaxx, Armin Van Buuren, Axwell, Eric Prydz and Faithless.

Results from a survey held by the festival's organisers hailed DJs such as Tiësto and Paul Van Dyk as reigning the scene within the tents, though with this year's more diverse line-up Kasabian and Ian Brown followed hot on their heels as being some of the hottest rave-superstars at the event.

The 2008 Creamfields festival is said to have reflected far better the true intentions of the two Cream pioneers and what they set out to do 10 years ago than ever before. A feat achieved with no less than 50 top names in the industry, spinning a varied and energetic mix of techno, drum & bass, house and trance.

Creamfields 10 years- The album is simply enitled to a place on any dance music lover's CD rack. To not have it and claim to be a follower of dance music should be an arrestable offence. This soundtrack to the world's biggest dance festival brings together all the DJs, producers, labels and artists that are simply worth knowing about on the dance music scene.

The album is a real treasure trove as it spans 10 years of dance anthems. Featuring tracks from all of Creamfields' prestigious regulars, with the likes of Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Sasha, Underworld and the recent dance floor storm mounted by the Swedish House Mafia all onboard, the album proves an adequate feast for any club-scene dining hall.

Reflecting the infectious spread of Creamfields into another 15 countries is the diverse source of tracks found on the 3 CDs, with old rave favourites famous from nights down at Cream in Liverpool
to hot club vives from Cream at Amnesia in Ibiza.

Perhaps one of Creamfield's biggest successes is not having created a quasi-religious heireem of dance-crazed followers, but at having developed a global phenomenon that's burst onto the international dance floor.
