Eh? The only reason that possibly occured to me was that the local signal might be stronger than the other staion, making it less likely you'd lose reception and get an earful of static.

I know it's a lame reason, but it's still better than theirs!

Jeez, they may as well have made the answer 'stop to buy food and a first aid kit, incase you get trapped in the tunnel in lame Sylvester Stallone movie style'.

Actually I might do that... :^)

Wrong! That's what I put. The answer THEY put is D!!! wtf! Morons. Farting around with the radio while going into a tunnel ain't the most safe of activities. The reason they give is that by tuning into the local radio you may get info about any accidents in the tunnel etc. How stupid is that? Local radio stations are bogged down with adverts, and your likely to be in the tunnel before anything useful is said. And radios in tunnels anyone? They don't work! (well anyways)

Not had any lessons yet. :( Need to do one of those intensive courses. Jenn booked another test yesterday. The earliest she could get was 8th August!!!

Do we both need to sign then? I suppose it's fair enough, just a bit of a hassle.
I'll e-mail you in a minute.

Grrr, did my driving theory test today and got ONE question wrong. Just flicked through the book to see which one,

Before entering a tunnel it is good advice to
a> put on your sunglasses
b> check tyre pressures
c> change to a lower gear
d> tune your radio to a local channel

Now what do YOU think the correct answer is!

Oh, yes. Getting yourself a bike to ride is still one of the best things you can do for yourself - no matter how old your are!

It's a great way of exercising, giving your "chicken legs" a little definition and it's also ideal for getting round town (if you're fit enough, that is...). Cuttin' up traffic (safely, of course!), being the only healthy sod around... And, whenever you get to a crossing or a red light, you only have to get off, walk over the pavement and casually filter back into the traffic flow on the other side (as long as the Police aren't looking, of course!). ;D

Not that I'd ever do that kind of thing, of course.... :P

If you do get a bike however, make sure it's got enough gears. There's little worse than getting yourself a bike you'll be using quite regularly, thinking "Yeah, it looks alright.", only to get home and find that uphill struggle to work is ten-times worse than it could've been! :S

I now regret only getting a bike with 6 gears. :(

Still, it's good for me throbbing legs every morning, there and back. ;D
