[Captain's Log: 10/03/04 - Day of the Edit Post Feature]
[Diary Entry: 7/7/05 - "We shall never forget"]
Take last week as one example. For the last hour of work on Monday, on a day where I'd cycled in rather than getting a lift, it aboslutely BUCKETED it down like all that water had been gathering for months, ready to burst at the seams. Yet, I go a mile-or-two down the road, soaking wet, to where I live, and, guess what... It's BONE-DRY!!
It seemed to be like it EVERYWHERE outside of work! Everyone I asked, none of them had even seem a black-cloud on that once-sunny day...
It's like in a cartoon or something, where a big, black rain-cloud follows that one unlucky-guy around and that one-guy only...
There's something supernatural about me too, I reckon. I mean, I can just look at random people in a busy street, on a busy day, inside a car sat in busy traffic, and, whether they're facing me or not, they'll look RIGHT AT ME, in the eye! It's so creepy... And yes, I AM wearing my glasses at the time!
It's so wierd, I really don't understand it... It's not like I can stand-out inside a normal car, now, is it. I've noticed this for some-months now, too. It reminds me of something from The Matrix, when Agent Smith would suddenly turn to look. Heh, and it's very good for confidence-building when an attractive young lady does it, too! ;D
I've read what Uri Geller has said before about 'psychic powers' and being able to demand a man or dog's attention from staring at the back of someone's head (which I do believe in). But, to me... This still seems different....
I reckon it could be a `Kelly´ thing. Something she may have "infected" my mind with (yep, she's back on my brain, 24/7, AGAIN!). She's croppin' up a lot more again, and I'm even seeing her in the local 'paper too! Unfortunately, we don't have our own "Page 3" like The Sun, and she did actualy write-in supporting another guy grumbling at the council over the state of our local roads, after she had to fork-out £130+ to repair an alloy wheel one of their "filled" pot-holes damaged...
And, their reply? Well, they tried to blame it on her by trying to say her Ford PUMA was "unsafe" to be driven on the roads - ?!?
I was beginning to believe she was almost as bimbo-like as people have made her out to be, but, after reading some of the things in this letter.... :)
How could that be the better thing to do than to drop-down a gear and prepare yourself for what could lie ahead where you cannot clearly see yet!? It's got to be the worse thing of the 2 to do, surely... I mean, if you have to tune into a different radio-station, you have to draw your attention away from the road, right - and look at what they were saying with mobile phones and how they distract you (even though, they've barely sorted that problem even - you shouldn't be allowed to use a mobile while driving AT ALL!).
And, what if you're not listening to the radio - what if it's a CD in my JVC CD-player? Would it be better for me to change to a "shiny, happy" song on entrance than to be listening to something about "gettin' laid" and women?! I dunno...
I take it you passed, then, since you only got the one question wrong and had no mention as to whether or not it meant to failed, right? Well done. :) I didn't know you were preparing for it, had you had a lot of practice? How did you find the Hazard Perception part?
And there I was - for all this time - thinking you were able to drive...! :)
