This game will be released very soon so how many of you have pre-ordered? I haven't but I'm intending on buying it, it's gonna be a very special game, use this thread to talk about the game :)

Nah, too close to games like Doom 3 and Dues Ex 2, too much of a choice. Plus I'm little miffed at it's delay after Valve said the 30th spet release date was carved in stone. Gits.

Half Life 2 does look very nice indeed. I think I'll end up getting it on Xbox though, my PC won't do it justice. That's assuming it has Live support. If not might just need to get a new PC, after all Half Life 2 IS the justification for it isn't it?

Christmas would be the best time though, won't it? Great gift.

The release date has been all over the place recently, from 30th Sept to late Winter, but I think November is a more realistic release date.

Also, if it's vids your after for the game, try downloading Steam from Valve, they have a great collection of high resolution videos that where used in the E3 trailer, they look amazing.

I've seen the trailer for Half-life 2 (kinda reminds me of that bit in the town of allied assault!). It does look impressive though. I read that the game will work fine on low spec machines aswell.

Its out on 30th september. I've already booked my holiday!

i'd prefer a bink video if ne 1 knows where to get one from.

Any body know where i can download the E3 movie of half-life 2 as i spent 3 hrs downloding on n it windows cannot recognise the file.

what type of graphics card am i gonna need? how much is it gonna cost me to get the beast of a game working on my comp?
