I've recently become addicted to Animal Crossing.

I had to go round everyone in my town of Nintendo to get a hankerchief which they had all let each other borrow.

YUCK!!!

This games rocks :D

I'll probably end up getting the UK version at Players Choice price - providing it does go down in price.

It may not be a completely different title, but I'm sorry I refuse to classify it as just a port. It's not.

And you know as well as I do Legends had a lot more differences than that.

Well it's like Code Veronica X on the PS2... an extra room, slightly improved graphics and a few extra cut scenes do not make it a new game.

Legends is not a new game because it features a smoother frame rate and a new character.

Animal Crossing is not a new game because it has a few updates.

So what if two games have the same structure? EA sports game usually have the more or less the same structure year after year. They're classed as different games.

And since I wouldn't know the differences between 2X and 2 I couldn't comment. If they just bunged an X on the end to make it sound cooler, or updated.. then of course not. If it had new play modes, more features, new areas, more characters then yes.

Would you call Tony Hawks 2X on the X-box a different game to Tony Hawks 2?

I refuse to call it a port. It's not just a port.. or even an upgraded port. It's not a totally different game either.. but a port to me is the same game on a different platform.

Both Skies and Animal Crossing (in Japan anyway) got name changes for their "ports" which signified they were different games.

I think that's someone's mis-interpretation of it.

I saw real time speech where you typed what you said to the animals on the second screen. Besides, the Gamecube version was a straight port with smoothened visuals and GBA connectivity. :-)

The DS is a version of the N64 build, that's what I heard reported at E3.
