Small edits permitted

I was hoping for pictures other than landscapes, imagination regarding the subject title would have gone a huge distance. Sorry Tim, a picture of the family dawg, as cute as it is, just didn’t do it for me. :D Anyhoo: -.

(Please note, I’m looking for a mood or feeling here. Quality is secondary.)

Love the contrast between the mountains and sky.

Marvellous shot, but the boat really takes me out of the picture. This is a case where I’d argue that a slight photoshop edit would really improve the overall effect.

I love this. It’s pretty empty, but the off centre few people in the boat really make it. The cityscape on the horizon screams industry and activity, and these people are slap bang in the middle of nowhere, on a calm sea. It suggested the topic title like no other entry IMHO.

Your other entry is very, very nice, but I really don’t like a subject being centred in the middle of the shot. Weren’t you taught anything about composition dammit! ;D

Considerations
Timmargh – http://beepclick.co.uk/files/sr-3-2-serenity.jpg
Crossbob – http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/3429/cloudsfromaeroplanewindow9sl.jpg I’m a sucker for looking out of plane windows, shame the camera is of pretty low quality.
Clazan – http://img257.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscn078611nz.jpg
Beautiful. Although are you sure you took that yourself?
J-42 http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=serenity0117ce.jpg I love the focus.

All were of high standard, all were interesting.

I hand over to you FFF.

My plane window picture was a photo so I took a picture of it with my webcam because my scanners not working. But I am getting a digital camera soon.

Yep, but it's the harbour in Barcelona and boats live in the harbour.
And NO photoshopping from me, I'm not George Lucas.
Cheers though.

I think Panda was looking into the actual quality of photography, aswell as the photo itself. In which case the composition of the winner (FFF) was the best.

That's no excuse. You should do anything for a good shot. :P

Well, the sea had just gone out, so the beach was still very watery, and the dog had decided to run off and try to drown herself. Added to that the fact the beach is absolutely plastered with mud-holes you almost dissapear into, I was soaking wet, p!ssed off and had ruined my jeans ... trying to walk back along tiny islands of sand in some massive puddle with the dog dragging me along ... then I saw the shot - so I'm thinking, I'll put the subject wherever the feck I like.

: P

Ta very much, I'll get right on it.

It is pretty stunning, the water doesn't seem that real though.

On the other hand, I've never been to Canada
