Is it me or does anyone else get bogus music with ear-splitting digital screeches cut it off a couple of seconds into the song?

Have you tried using the IP blocker thing in K lite? It's meant to filter most of those out. Can't say I get them, but I don't download mainstream new releases, and that's where I'd imagine them to be. What mp3's have you got them in, out of interest?

A lot of the music companies upload versions of songs by their artists that are corrupt after about 30 seconds.
Others play a recorded audio message telling you about the dangers of music piracy.

Just a way to try stop people doing it.

I tried downloading I'm feeling this by Blink 182 yesterday... 5 of them were screechy, two were nothing, and one was incredibly low quality but it was a song.

Seether - Fine Again

What you just said happened to me when i was trying to download this song, happened on another song but can't remember which one. It plays the intro then goes "SQUUUEEEEELCHHHHSQUUUUEEEEELCH".

I got the last bit of the song. It started off as screeching.

Have you not heard then?

Kazaa is now a paying service if you want new songs.

You can keep all the old songs you've downloaded, but from now on, if you want new songs, you're going to have to cough up £40 a year.

Never happened to me before, all my songs have been perfect apart from one by Mystikal which decided to cut itself off at about 5 minutes, about 15 seconds before the song was going to finish anyway so it wasn't that big a deal.
