Can't believe it's available retail (or will be soon)

(it's only £590 from ebuyer if you want to save yourself some money on retail price)

Yes - also note neither fridges nor freezers are designed to handle continuous thermal loads, so your card wouldn't stay cold for long.

You'd blow up your fridge, and probably the card with the condensation ;)

Er..*checks dates quickly*

Hm, March 12-15...not decided yet, i17 was cool but a lot of hassle and very expensive...I'm meant to be saving money to go to South Africa right now, so hoping to pay for this beforehand may be pushing it. Still, never know, I may yet, I'll have a word with some friends.

Seen the HL2 FPS scores Gabe Newell presented recently? DX9 test, 9800pro scored around twice what the 5900 ultra did - oh yes :D They've gone and rewritten a separate code path for nvidia cards to work round all their non-standardised stuff, but it's still not quite up to the same speed, and not all developers have the resources to do this..

I'd just buy a Vapochill or Prometia unit for it.

Pah.

Exactly.

I'd rather buy a Sapphire 9800PRO card and just fit a zalman copper heatpipe cooler on it.

And everyone knows Radeons are better anyway *runs*

If I was a millionaire then I'd hire a small boy to play computer games for me while I was off snorting coke with Page 3 girls. And if he wants a decent graphics card then it can damn well come out of his wages.
