And Gollum/Smeagal is my new favourite character... I was too lazy to read The Lord of the Rings but remember him in The Hobbit. Yep, it was excellent... especially the battle at Helms Deep. I might start reading The Return of the King to see what happens. Although, how annoying is Sam?
Urgh

He's great
" Oh Mr. Frodo sir... I... I love you "
" Sam the Wise or whatever, I love you too "
An a stunning CGI work as well, I forgot I was looking at a computer graphic after 30 seconds, unlike George "Does my beard make it look like I have a jawline?" Lucas - who's entire Star Wars output from Phantom Menace is like watching someone else play a videogame.
And Samwise Gamgee is a small ginger bummer.
" it burns us "
The only time I felt Golum looked 'dodgy' was right at the start when he leans over a rock to look at them, the light just looks weird. He's the best... a bigger character than I thought.
" Raw and juicy "
"My preciousssss"
You're joking, right? Blatant CGI and some of the crossover stuff (where he interacts with the actors) looked pants. It's only slightly better than Episode 1 and that was made back in 1999.
Of course, I ranted about how pants the CGI work was in Lord Of The Rings ages ago when I first saw Fellowship. They should've got ILM to do it, would've been more expensive but the results are always better.
