I'm fed up of people who think your crazy or stupid if you try and have a decent conversation about something that requires more than a few brain cells to think about. I heard my neighbour say this hilarious quote, that I will remember until the day I die, or the day I forget: "Some people say there are stars out there". I can't believe that someone can actually live not knowing something like that, and lets face it, if you don't know that there's probably a hell of other stuff that you don't know.
Hope that raises a few chuckles.

My mate's stupid, bitchy, annoyingly evil ex-girlfriend couldn't get her head around the fact that if the sun were to die out, we'd continue to get sunlight for quite a while as it takes so long to travel. She so stoopad!

Sorry, but any chance I get to badmouth that evil cow, I take it.

You would need a heck of a lot of sun block to avoid getting burnt that day.

It's true though.

How do WE know there are stars? I personally haven't been up there to check.

We might all be living in a Trueman Show style life, and the stars are just painted on a massive dome shaped roof. After all, the moon landing was probably fake.

It takes the light from the sun 8 minutes and 21 seconds to reach us, if I remember correctly.

If it did happen and we all looked up, we'd be watching a sun explode that stopped existing 8 minutes ago. weird.
