I went looking around the whole of Bristol and there were only 5 music stores. Anyway, in each one, all they would do was deals with drums and no cymbals. And the prices were like £450. I seen the Pearl Export you recommended and this was £600. I was about to leave the final store, Sound Control (GREAT STORE) when out of the corner of my eye, i spotted a starter kit for £249, £100 under budget. It came with cymbals as well which was cool, a nice kit, mirror chrome colour. It took 5 hours to assemble, with swear words thrown between me and my mother. But finally, it is assembled, it is a session Pro kit incase you know about it.
Thanks for the advice, i'm off for another play :)

Good luck mate, I don't play the drums but I've fairly recently started to play an instrument and all I can say is don't give up.

Drums are a cool instrument to play, if you've got the skill.

I got my pulse and stagg drum kit for £300 and its pretty decent. But I can't stop thinking about nicking my dad's credit card and going to buy a pearl set.

Pearl rock.

Good luck with your drumming. I did my first ever performance infront of people yesterday on the worst drumkit i've ever been on, but i managed to pull through and make it sound half decent.

That's a good price for a starter kit - you'll know if you enjoy it without having spent *too* much on it.

Here's mine:

Same finish & I have another 4 cymbals and another floor tom.

Drums are cool. I play the bass mostly, and used to bash the drums at practices while everyone was having a fag and stuff, but after moving into a shared house with the drummer means i get to play his kit daily.

he's teaching me in exchange for bass lessons, and i'm also having more lessons down the local shop, and i'm really getting into it - well i was until i broke my wrist, but i can still play in a fashion...
