It has to be Mario. He's a classic from the 80's that has stood the test of time.
I still get shivers seeing that FMV at the start of Sunshine, Strikers charged or Galaxy and even when he was just a small block of pixels he had more character than most of today's game characters.

My favorite game character is Trunks from DBZ. he is just cool and i love his way of fighting with the sword and i special attacks.
