I am staring at pages of code (which might aswell by hyroglyphics to me) trying to make this mutha of a program to work.
If you could just take that crowbar off that shelf, yes thats the one, right if I just lower my head so you could get a good swing at it.

Be effing thankful you're not writing code in a difficult language, there are some out there that make Java look like structured English. I'm writing network code in C++ atm - it looks like Java in places but has a lot of places to fall over that Java takes care of for you.
Most of the problems with Java are to do with cruddo compiler messages. They really don't design them to help you out :O/

Can I use a baseball bat? The skull-popping thud it produces on impact is more satisfying.

Aw poor thing. Guess it's not basic Java you are looking at. I felt like that and all we had to design was a photo loading and saving program. It will pass, I promise.
