Are you thinking of (the original) Mario Bros. One or two player competive single screen platform game?

It was included on Mario All Stars.

I have heard vague mention of it on GBA as a linkable, but don't really know much more, not being that into GBAs.

Mario Advance 2 is Mario World (Mario 4) from SNES.

Me thinks you can link up and play this crappy battle game, not really got anything in common with Smash Bros though.

It's an extra feature on the Mario Advance games (atleat 1 and 2, not sure about 3), all you do is throw shells at each other and hit POW blocks.

It's not crap, it's a good laugh.

It's an absolute class 2 Player game.

You can play co-operative, but always end up trying to kill the other player.

It's on SMA3 as well.
