I've heard Midnight Club is the better game. The problem with NFS seems to be that it is too easy for far too long and by the time it gets a little trickier, it's too late.

The new NFS acts like an open map game but actually cordons areas off when you play missions, there are open map game options though. It also has the best storyline and good acting (for a change).

Midnight Club is much more open but the difficulty level is ramped up.

I've heard from people who've played a lot of both and it sounds like Midnight Club has the edge but both are still worth playing as they're so different.

I'd heard the latest NFS was suppose to be a bit 'rubbish', so went for the Midnight Club instead. It's pretty good. Pretty much just the same as the last few good NFS games, (Most Wanted/Carbon), so it's kept me entertained. Sometimes a bit iffy to tell what you're actually suppose to do next to progress, as there seems to be a million options of stuff to do on the map without any guidence as to which you should do, but it's fun.
