There were also high hopes for the re-make of Rollerball. That turned out so bad I think it went straight to DVD!

I saw the trailer for the first time yesterday. Needless to say, as a big fan of the classic original, I declare this remake to be potential pooh.

The delectable Ed Norton is also starring, against his wishes it seems. I read an interview with him, which said that he is being forced to do it for contractual reasons. He's not even allowed to talk about how he doesn't want to do it. It's really sad that the few actors that want to do projects that they care passionately about, instead of those that are going to make them the big bucks, are forced into making the no brainers and are then stopped from expressing their opinions. Good old Hollywood.

The trailer makes it look like a crappy thriller with some comedy elements thrown in for what ever reason, and who decided it was a good idea to pu Mark Whalberg in the lead?

I heard there was a film based on it made in London by a load of ameteurs- they used Citroen C3s and Smart cars as well as Mini Coopers, but not a real one. The origional is a pretty cool, though.
