I'm considering looking into working during the summer for extra cash but i know i should get about £3.50 per hour at least but then do you get paid monthly, and how much income tax and national insurance is deducted from it? And i am asking about the people who work in retail.
I'm only asking this cos i owe some money and i want to at least save up for the future and spend some of it...

yea 35 hours a week is full time.

35...almost full time. Bout sixty odd quid I'm guessing

5 times? How many hours is that?

if i get £3.50 an hour and work 5 times a week i get £122.50 in totaly a week how much would i deduct.

I have a far better money making scheme that makes enough to get all the games and DVDs I want without leaving my chair.

Minimum wage varies with age though, and your hourly rate is totally irrelevant to whether you are taxed or not. If he's going to be doing a fourty hour week at £3.50 he will be taxed, and rightly so. National Insurance kicks in around the £80 p/w mark too.

£3.50ph is below minimum wage, so I'd complain a bit if you got taxed

If you don’t care where you work then Clintons Cards is quite good, you get £4.25 per hour (at least that is what I got two years ago).
