I wouldn't be surprised if we see him play for half an hour.

Is Gareth Barry still young-enogh to play for the Under-21's, then?!?!

And it looks like David James is set for that starting place in goal, with Paul Robinson settling for a place on the bench.
And surprisingly, neither of these 2 'keepers has ever played a single competitive match for England - not even once -- not even James, at his age (well, that's understandable...!)!

But Eriksson seems like he wants to play James in goal, purely becuase he's "more-experienced" than the younger Paul Robinson, when clearly it should be decided on form and abillity (meaning Robinson should play)!

I've got a feeling we're gonna lose this one...
Good to see Jenas in the squad again, though.

I can see why Rooney is in there, but I still feel he is too-young, and also over-rated for a player of his age. Sending him in so-early is only gonna ruin him in the long run. Just wait...

I bet Eriksson plays him in that match, somehow, too...!

Barry should have been included, as he is playing fabulous football and is a left footed left sided midfielder. Madness prevails again Sven.

Have you been watchin the same guy? Remember Henry is the forward who does the above but he's French, Heskey is a lumbering buffoon with a touch as delicate as a porn stars. Rooney is already a better player than him, ditto Defoe, Beattie, Owen and Vassell.

Two players I am very happy to see in the squad are Terry and Dyer. People I wouldn’t have in the squad are Hargreaves, I would take Le Saux, instead of Bridge I would take Barry, instead of Rooney I would take Beattie and instead of Jeffers I would Take Defoe.

Does Sven actually know what he's doing???

What about the Premierships leading goalscorer, Beattie???

Surely he must pick players that are on form and not on Hype rate.
