Due to a house move, and BT's incompetence, I'm now in a situation where Direct Connection is my best option for Live.
If I go ahead with Direct Connection, will Live work, after the Xbox was configured to use the network through ICS?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thankyouness, Many Goats
Obviously that's how I did it last time, but I keep getting problems with the DNS etc.
It's fairly gay, actually.
The enxt thing to try is putting my PPoE or whatever username and password into the xbox, "as provided by my ISP". When I know what our password is.
I'll do it tomorrow, I'll get back to you :)
Only way I could get on with ICS was to have no firewalls or security programs running except Norton.
Zone Alarm was killing my Xbox's connection.
Still can't work out why I can't carry on with ICS though, the Xbox isn't THAT good at sorting out its connections...
Don't forget to look at the FAQ on here and also at xbox.com
