Well he might have changed the root directory. Also files can disappear if you start downloading them into one place and then change the download directory.

Have you checked "my shared folder". That might help. If not I'm all out of ideas.

Because your a Jackass :). Just go to where ever you download stuff into i.e your download folder. If its not there then try using the search method on your PC to see what new files have been stored.
