I swear I've just been playing Doom 3 for the last half an hour.

It's basically Doom 3 with different enemies.

Bump - just looking at old threads. Funnily enough restarted Quake 4 this year... love it (uni got in the way of attempt number 1 way back in 2005)... ;)

Thankfully, no. I hated the "monster in a cupboard" syndrome in D3.

I'm tempted to try this myself after the immense bumming it's been getting here, just one thing. It doesn't have any of those stupid bits where enemies jump out at you from cupboards and spawn rape you from behind does it? That's what killed Doom 3 for me.

Only £19.99 at GAME now so if any of you have a spare £20 go out and get it.

Aha - that would be it... brings back that Resi Evil 4 kind of feeling of never fully being in control, with lots of set pieces to get you on your linear way... who said linear gaming was over?

Yes Yes Yes - Doom what?

Quake4 makes Doom 3 feel about as much fun as watching fence paint dry in the wet, on a cold cold day, with no raincoat, no jacket come to think of it in the nude.

How the hell PC Gamer gave it a lower score than Doom 3 is quite beyond me, they should downrate D3 to around 65% and give Q4 at least 90%...

Sooo much fun... ALMOST...ALMOST has that Quake2 feel about it - Now if only Quake5 could recapture the medieval feel of the original Quake...

Games come down to personal opinion and i think highly of the team that did Quake 4, where as RTCW enemy territory wasn't great IMO and so i'm kinda disappointed that they are going to be working on it.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
