The title race is wide open, but I expect Chelsea to cough up somewhere along the line as usual, while the usual suspects in Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle will keep the pace right to the bitter end.
I expect they'll lose a few more games before the premiership is won and lost, but then, I have no doubt that they'll win a few more as well.

That's all I meant!

Perhaps that is right for the period August - December.
Right now however, we have just beaten The top two from last seasons premiership in back to back games!
And kept a clean sheet against a team which scored in 55 straight league games!
well not that exaggerated
Yes we have had some good wins, but remember we have also dropped points in games against lesser teams like Bolton, Sunderland etc Ive never thought the title was likely this year and Arsenal still sit at the top of the league and are still favorites to win in my mind. Chelsea are on the best form ive ever seen them, and the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle have potential to challenge for the league.
The good thing is that in the last few years the premiership has given a great finale and this can only be good for the English League.

I think this sort of claim is more than a little premature.
Arsenal still lead the premiership, despite their recent utter toss that they call football.
Chelsea also lead man utd, and the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle aren't far behind. Christ, even Everton are only 3 points adrift of us. I think anyone in the current top 6 bar everton have a realistic chance of battling for the title. Everton have had a freakish and record breaking run of form, but I expect they will flounder and fall back down the table soon enough.
Arsenal could retain the title. Liverpool could win for the first time in 12 years. Chelsea could finally justify all the hype they've received over the last 7 years or so, and Newcastle could finally pay off Bobby's passion.
It's still anyone's game, and while it's nice to beat our main rivals in Liverpool and Arsenal, we still have to play both again at some point this season, and have to perform consistently enough to bring the points in.
I mean really, drawing against West Ham was poor, losing miserably to Man City was poor. There is a long way to go, a long way in which we can still throw away the hard work of the last few games.
This season will probably be as tight if not tighter than recent years.
